There was lots of alcohol consumed and the birthday boy only made it for 1 hour into the party. At that time he passed out on his bed until about midnight when he came back to life LOL

We had a BBQ dinner, lots of nibbles and of course, jelly shots. LOL

Unfortunately too much alcohol was consumed to have any photos taken of the cake or the guests that turned up later in the night.

The way she’s been talking, I think she would have been happy to miss her 17th birthday and just head straight to her 18th LOL

Tieshii-bear, I’m not ready yet to have TWO adult children…let me get used to having one first – oh and I still have to buy the Golden lighting and all the supplies for this HUGE 18th birthday party you’re planning *shudder* LOL

We decorated the party area with cupcake banners and  balloons. We served fairy bread, cocktail franks, party pies, chips, lollies and of course, cupcakes! Didn’t have a chance to take photos of the food – too busy!

I didn’t organise any games but the kids had fun playing together anyway:

Not very significant days for most but in this household, these are the birthdates of 3 out of 5 of the Mummified babes.

It makes for an interesting week! LOL

And it makes one wonder what was happening each year in July!

Some say we didn’t have heating so we had to stay warm somehow! Others say it could have been too much eggnog at the Christmas in July parties.

LOL I dunno!

But what I do know is that if I don’t start planning their birthdays months in advance, they’ll each end up getting an IOU in their birthday cards!

The invites have been sent out now for each of the 3 get togethers so I thought I’d share them with you….

Been told I should consider making invitations to sell but I think this is one thing that I just enjoy doing for family – and happy to keep it that way.

My husband doesn’t listen!

We have an understanding that because our wedding anniversary is 2 days before Valentine’s Day, that we don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day.

I should have known that he was going to do it to me again this year! He told me he was just popping down the road and came back with a beautiful long stemmed rose with a pack of Ferrero rochers tucked in it.

And what did I give him in return? A print out of the insurance quote I got so our two learner drivers will be fully insured when they drive our van. (I only just found out that the other car insurance we had didn’t cover them!)

I think we need to have a chat leading up to Valentine’s Day each year whether we’re going to buy something for each other or not!
