Well, it seems that, at our school,  it doesn’t matter if you are the bully of the school, have had the police involved because of the trouble you cause inside and outside of school, and are rude to kids, parents and teachers alike…just as long as you behave for one day, then you are eligible to be a recipient of the Principal’s award.

Another case of the good kids being ignored, while the misbehaving ones get all the attention.

Now Noddy has been revamped but the golliwogs, his Toyland friends, have been given the boot because they might be deemed as racist. Are you serious?! There was nothing racist about it when Enid Blyton wrote these books and most people realise there was nothing racist about the toys.

What’s next? Is Noddy’s mate Big Ears going to axed because that’s being discriminating against people with big ears?

Get real, people! Do you maybe need to get lasik surgery Mexico style to see the world clearer and realise that we are going to be the death of ourselves?!

Me, being the nosey concerned person that I am, called out to Bill who was in the living room and suggested he go and have a look so he could come back here and tell me what happened to make sure that everyone was ok.

He came back shortly after to inform me that a car had crashed into a power pole right across the road from our friend’s house and rolled, landing upside down. Luckily the 3 people in the car were ok, according to the local paper.

I’m glad to hear they are ok because now I can tell them, via my blog, what I think of them!

I drove past the accident scene on my way to take Tiesha to work this morning. No, I didn’t take a detour! It’s the usual way we go. The skid marks on the road show that the driver was obviously speeding because the skid marks started on the curve at the top of the hill and it looked like the driver lost control and swerved all over the road until slamming into the pole.

I have driven up and down this road almost daily and if you’re doing the speed limit, there is no way you can have an accident like this one! What makes it worse is that it has been mentioned that they had all been drinking! AND the driver was on his green P’s! (for those playing at home, this is the provisional licence).

They are lucky to be alive! They are lucky that they didn’t crash into a house where there could have been unaware people watching tv or sleeping! They are lucky that they didn’t crash into any other cars that may have been travelling past them at the time.

How many people have to die on the road before people get the message? Speed kills!!

I have no sympathy for those who ignore the road rules and speed limits and who drive under the influence of alcohol. If it was up to me, their driver’s licence would be cancelled and they would be made to use public transport for the rest of the life.

Spanish toy maker, Berjuan, has created a baby doll called Bebé Glotón with the idea to promote breastfeeding and to impress upon kids that breastfeeding is natural.

A colourful bra-like halter top featuring flowers over the nipple area comes with the doll. When the baby doll is lifted to the flowers, it makes a suckling motion and sound.

There has been mixed reactions to this doll. I’ve read comments from some people who think that while promoting breastfeeding is a good thing, this doll is a little weird. Others support the idea and think it’s brilliant.

I can honestly say that my inbox has sucked some of my intelligence from me this week.

Someone had posted that when she sees a child under 2 years old with pierced ears, she automatically assumes that the child has a teenage mum.

I can’t understand this assumption. My background is European. It’s almost custom to get your daughter’s ears pierced before her first birthday. All my girls had their ears pierced when they were younger and I’m no teenage mum.

The problem here is stereotyping. This person obviously doesn’t think that young girls should have their ears pierced and obviously thinks that teenage mums are irresponsible and don’t know what they are doing.

I’d love to chat with this woman to see what other ridiculous assumptions she has made.

But it didn’t take long for the truth to come out. HE was the one who murdered his wife and tried to deceive everyone with his lies so he wouldn’t be caught. I felt sick! How can someone in their right mind kill their spouse, let alone killing her while she is 7 months pregnant with their baby?!

Corrigan was sentenced to up to 22 years jail but today was released, after only serving 16 years. Personally I don’t think that even 22 years is enough for taking someone’s life but hey, I’m no lawyer or judge or anything.

Just because someone is being a model prisoner should not influence the time they spend in jail. I think it’s just common sense that if someone is trouble, they will be good for a time to show that they CAN be good. My kids do the same thing. If they get into trouble at home and they get grounded for a week by me or Bill, they’ll be really well-behaved for the first few days in the hope that we will reduce their grounding. But I don’t care how well-behaved they are. I gave them a week because of what they had done and it sticks. Call me tough or whatever, but that’s what I do.

At Corrigan’s trial, he first claimed that it was an intruder that had killed his wife. When that wasn’t convincing, he then blamed the voices in his head. He had nothing to say as he walked free this morning.

HIs wife’s family must be shattered to hear that he has been released early. The Parole Authority should have given more attention to the family’s concerns and the murderer’s history of deception.

I am disgusted that this man has be allowed to walk free while his wife and unborn child’s lives were cut short.

What are you thoughts on this?

I don’t know why she does it. Does she do it for attention? Is her life that boring that she has to create a more interesting life for herself? Does she even KNOW that she’s doing it? There have been times that she must have forgotten a previous lie that she told me because she would tell me something totally different.

Slowly people are becoming aware of what she is really like, or maybe they already knew but like me, have kept their mouths shut and just let her go on. But it eventually comes to a time where enough is enough.

I don’t have time for people like that. I feel sorry for the people close to her that have to suffer falling outs with other friends and family. Does she not realise the damage she is causing.

Friend, you need to sit back and seriously think about what you are doing. The ones closest to you might put up with your continuous lies and then quietly watch you try to back track when you slip up, but as for me, I no longer have any time for you.

“Why is Tina’s husband holding a box of chocolates above his head?” I hear you ask. “I know that Tina has said that he’s weird before but ………”

The box of chocolates that we received from one of Madeline’s best friends had the chocolate selection printed on the bottom of the box.

Do you think that the chocolate manufacturers do this on purpose because they want you to eat ALL the chocolates and not look at the selection chart so you just pick your favourite ones?

With the Christmas/Summer holidays just a couple of weeks away, I’ve been collating some ideas for outings and things to do with the family.

One of the places on our list is Taronga Zoo. I checked out the website today and and as well as purchasing the "family ticket",  I will have to pay for 2 more adult tickets for William and Tiesha. Annabelle will get in for free.

It would be so much better for families if the "family ticket" was 2 adults and 3-4 children. Having more than 4 children makes it very expensive to go out and if the family ticket was changed, then you’d probably find that more families would go to these places.
