5 things I’ve always wanted to do that I haven’t done (yet)
If I really took the time to think about this, there are probably a whole heap of things that I’ve always wanted to do but haven’t…yet.
But these are the ones that I thought of now as I write this post…..
- I’ve always wanted to go on a whale watching boat but I’m a bit worried that I would get sea-sick and then if I throw up over the side of the boat, the spew might attract sharks and then a big shark might jump up and eat half the boat and all of us…..
- I’ve always wanted an baby orang-utan for a pet…or at least get to play with one for a little while.
- I’ve always wanted to have a cocktail party….the one time we got close to one, we got so drunk our coc- sucking cowboys were more like milkshakes.
- I’ve always wanted to write a children’s book…but I guess you need to start with a story idea so I guess that what I really always wanted to do is come up with a good story book idea…
- I’ve always wanted to turn one of the bedrooms in our house (if we had enough rooms) into a huge walk-in wardrobe for the whole family ala The Duggars. THAT would be cool.
So, what are some things that YOU have always wanted to do that you haven’t done yet?
Leave me a comment if you do this so I can come read about it

Getting the tush in gear
So if you follow me on Twitter or you are one of my Facebook friends (and you are, aren’t you?!) you would have known that I booked an appointment to visit my local Curves yesterday – only to check it out – but I got me one of these (apologies for the blurriness):
I set the alarm for 6am this morning, thinking that I’ll get my workout done nice and early. Stayed in bed for an extra 15 minutes because it was still dark outside – who gets up when it’s still dark? That’s just absurd! I crawled out of bed and got my butt to Curves by 6.30am to find that I had the whole circuit to myself.
Once I got going, I was reminded how much I enjoyed doing it. I was a member of Curves years ago and loved going every morning – also meant that 30 minute workout was 30 minutes of Tina time, and not mama or wife!
So, in line with starting this new workout regime, I’m putting forth my (re)starting stats and making Thursdays my official weigh in day from this day forward.

FOR TODAY – Monday 9th March, 2009
Outside my window… I can see that the front lawn has been freshly mowed – thanks, Bill!
I am thinking… that I should start baking William’s birthday cake
I am thankful for… my husband, my children, a roof over our heads and food in our bellies.
From the kitchen… going to bake a chocolate cake for William.
I am wearing… 3/4 pants, t-shirt
I am reading… flowers in the attic by V.C Andrews
I am hoping… that we get the keys to the new house this week
I am creating… a new home management binder for the new house
I am hearing… Annabelle laughing because William is chasing her
Around the house… boxes, boxes and more boxes!
One of my favorite things… cupcakes!
A few plans for the rest of the week… go shopping and run errands on Wednesday, pack some more.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you… Scarlett, one of my girlfriends, with Annabelle on Annabelle’s birthday. I love the little smirk Annabelle has on her face!

How many times….
….can one person join Weight Watchers? I’m sure there’s a good joke in there somewhere but for now I’m really excited to be starting on the Weight Watchers Satisfaction Plan.
I’d normally be posting about my weight loss (or lack of) on the weight loss blog that my sister and I had started – sorry, Penny! But not many people know about it and I figured that by posting about it here on MX5 and having regular readers, I might have myself a good cheer team and you guys won’t be afraid to kick my butt if you see that I’m slacking off! LOL
So, today marks Day 1 of the new plan. I’m still learning about how The Satisfaction Plan works. If you have any experience with it, feel free to share your wisdom. In the mean time, I’m going to count how many points my breakfast is and work out how many exercise points packing boxes, pulling luggage off wardrobes and housework is!

Friends from way back!
It has been 20 years since I left high school (!) and with that, left a lot of my old school friends behind. Some of these girls I’ve known since we were 5 years old and starting kindy together! But thanks to facebook, I’ve been able to reconnect with a lot of my old friends and have a chance to catch up with them over lunch today.
We went to the Anchorage restaurant in the Boat Harbour Motel, Wollongong. The food was fabulous and the company was even better! It was just like no time had past. We chatted and laughed and took lots of photos to upload to facebook LOL
Thanks girls (and guys) for an awesome day today! Let’s not allow another 20 years to pass before we see each again!!
