Our homework box

The kids always seem to find some excuse to put off doing their homework. They either can’t find a ruler, or scrap paper, or a calculator. Or they have left their pencil case at school.
So I decided to create a “homework box”.

I’m reusing a plastic tote that I had sitting in the cupboard (I used [...]

Simple satisfaction

Shaanon from Rocks In My Dryer shared simple things that she finds very satisfying and asked what simple things satisfied everyone else.
My list would be:

clean, fresh sheets

Wed - Lamb chops, mash potatoes and veg
Thur - Homemade chicken burgers, chips and [...]

While I [...]

Time to pitch in, family!

Overall, the kids are good helpers around the house. They keep their rooms tidy most of the time, take the rubbish out, help with putting away the laundry, and help with washing up after dinner. But they do sometimes argue about whose turn it is and who done it yesterday and who didn’t do it.
So [...]

Spring cleaning in Winter?

So I booked a skip so we could do a household cleanup and it’s full! We had a few old matresses and beds that needed to be dumped as well as some junk under the house.
I’ve been busy inside going through cupboards, drawers and all our stuff, throwing things away. I have a bunch of [...]
