CAN’T wear the same shoes!
“You get different ones.”
“No, you get different ones!”
“But I like these!”
“So do I!”
This went on for half an hour and because neither Tiesha or I planned to back down, we figured we just wouldn’t wear them on the same day LOL

Your Cheeky Monkey (+ Giveaway!)
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW FINISHED!
Keep reading to find out how you can win a $25 gift voucher from Your Cheeky Monkey!
Handmade. Organic. Fair trade. 3 words that are quite popular when shopping – especially for children.
I love finding items that you wouldn’t normally find in stores. Giving handmade gifts (whether you make them yourself or buy handmade) make it just that little bit more special, I think.
Your Cheeky Monkey has a great range of handmade, organic and fair trade products. Monique’s aim is to provide beautiful, unique, memorable gifts and practical items for people of all ages.
Annabelle and I were sent a Personalised applique singlet and a couple of finger puppets to try out.
Monique uses white Bonds singlets, in sizes 000 through to 2, and personalises them by adding applique made with a funky green/multicolour stripe fabric which would suit both boys and girls.
The cute little hand-knitted finger puppets are made by skillful Andean women who have mastered knitting techniques to create such cute and detailed puppets. These are great not only for children aged 3 and up but as a fun way for parents to interact with babies.
Annabelle is very impressed with her new appliqued singlet, especially because it has an A on it
I was really impressed with the tidy machine applique. No need to worry about any fraying.
The finger puppets are a hit! Annabelle received the cheeky monkey and the mother & baby monkeys. The detail is brilliant! I LOVE the mummy and baby one!
I’m thinking that we’re going to have to get the whole set of animals.

Still waiting….
OK, so we’re not moving this weekend either *insert colourful words here* I spoke to the people responsible and got told that the contractors had until today to finish the work that needed to be done and we should be signing the lease on Monday. So this means that this will be the last weekend we will be spending in this house….hopefully.
I’m hoping that it will be Monday because the longer it is taking, the more I’m buying for the new place and the more we’ve got to move over there *blush* Bill subtly told me that I should stop buying stuff for the new place till we get in there and if I want to shop, I should shop for something other than home decor.
So I went shopping for shoes yesterday. Just a cute little pair of black flats. I wore them to the movies last night and even though we didn’t do much walking, I found out that the shoes weren’t exactly Beautifeel shoes…you know, ones that look cute AND feel like you’re not wearing any.
By the time we got home, I was ready to kick off the shoes and chuck them! Guess that means that I’ll just have to go shopping again for a pair of shoes *grin*

Loving my Aveeno!
Right before Christmas, I received a parcel containing a bottle of Aveeno Daily Moisturising Body Wash. It was great timing because I was almost out of the body wash I was using at the time.
I fell in love with the scent as soon as I opened the lid! Only needing a small amount on my loofah, it’s soap-free, creamy and leaves my skin smooth and soft all day!
To give you some REAL info:
Oats have a long history of being valued for skin care because of the multiple benefits including moisturisation, cleansing, and soothing relief of dry, itchy skin.
Only AVEENO® products carry ACTIVE NATURALS™ featuring natural colloidal oatmeal, clinically proven to relieve dry skin and moisturise for a full 24 hours.
- Relieves dry skin: Oatmeal milled into an ultra-fine powder will adhere to surface irritants, which can then be gently rinsed away, promoting relief. Additionally, the natural colloidal oatmeal lotion formulas of AVEENO moisturise and help protect skin.
- Soothes extra dry, irritated skin: Colloidal Oatmeal combined with menthol, shea butter and other skin protectants has been clinically proven to relieve aggravated, extra dry and cracked skin.
- Moisturises skin: Oat proteins leave a protective barrier on the skin, which prevents water loss to help maintain moisture.
Unfortunately, my kids have decided that they want to have soft and smooth skin as well (even though they have their own body washes) and have been helping themselves to my Aveeno because when I went for my shower this morning, I noticed that the bottle was empty! Seriously, you only need the smallest amount and there is no way I used it all myself!
So, I think that the Aveeno bottles should have some sort of marker on the side to track if someone else is using it because apparently it wasn’t them! Now I need to go and buy myself another bottle………
