Empty threats?

The older girls have the second largest bedroom here. But they get the award for the messiest bedroom! I keep threatening them with swapping rooms with Giorgia and Annabelle which is a much smaller room.

They seem to think that I won’t do it because Tiesha has her boyfriend stay over sometimes but what they don’t know is that I’m quite willing to get a set of those bunk beds with the bigger bed on the bottom and stick them in there. And if I do that, they won’t have much floor space to dump their stuff and….yeah I don’t think this idea sounds as good as it did in my head.

I must be a touch old fashioned, but to me the fact that you allow your daughters' boyfriend to sleep over is one thing *gasp* but in a room she shares with her sister! Or perhaps I read it wrong!
As for the messy room, it is no use making empty threats, you must come up with a drastic solution and stick to it.......in other words follow through with your threat.

My dad used to threaten that he was going to take everything from our bedrooms and throw it down the basement.
We didn't believe him until the day we came home from school and walked into our now totally empty bedrooms.
He even took the posters off the walls and through those down too.
W had to go down the basement and get our beds, bed frames, dressers, clothes, posters, everything, and put our rooms back together.
It sucked. LoL

LOL would have sucked as a teenager but he'd be a hero to all parents!

It did suck, my sis and I were like 15 & 17 I think we were.
I'll tell you what though, after having to lug bed frames, mattresses, dressers, and all of our clothes up the basement stairs, then through the living room, and then up the bedroom stairs which had a very narrow hallway with 2 twists in the stairs that made it really difficult to get those mattresses up there, we never ever left our rooms dirty ever again.
We totally learned our lesson.

If the girls don't clean their room, you can always throw everything outside in the yard while they are at school, then tell them they have to put it all back in their room nice and neat, clean, or their stuff will go back outside.
If they want to live like animals in filth, they can live outside in filth like animals.. That would teach 'em! LoL
