Girls will be girls!

End of the year means Year 10 formals and I had the pleasure of being at the lighthouse, which seems to be THE location for photos every year before the formal starts. The kids looked great – the guys in their suits and the girls in their gorgeous dresses, make up and hair done and killer heels that they couldn’t walk in LOL

We were only there a short time but I heard enough bitching to last a life time! “Oooh, look at her shoes!” “OMG, she’s wearing her mother’s shoes!” “Ewww, look at her dress!” “OMG, she’s WEARING THE SAME DRESS AS ME!!!” lol I swear, it’s a good thing that there were no box cutters or other sharp instruments around because it could have got ugly!

Another two years before another one of my girls attends her Year 10 formal…plenty of time for me to prepare my ears for the colourful words again!
