Gift card presentation

I don’t give a lot of gift cards/vouchers as gifts but if I do, I don’t like to just present it in an envelope. I want to be able to make it more fun. I asked my Facebook friends for some suggestions and they mentioned putting the gift cards in:

• a balloon bouquet
• little gift boxes
• a Christmas cracker
• trinket boxes

For those crafty people, you could make cute little cardboard envelopes using pretty papers and embellishments. Or, if the voucher is a paper one, putting it in one of those glass or plastic ornaments and hang it on the Christmas tree.

Another idea to make giving a gift card more personal is to add a small gift with it. For example, if you know your sister likes dogs, give the gift card with a small book of dog quotations. If your mum likes bath gels, give her one along with a gift voucher to buy her favourite bath gels.
