Christmas Eve sack

On Christmas Eve, we all pile in the van to go for a short drive locally to look at the Christmas lights. When we get back home, the kids are usually still excited so I thought a Christmas Eve sack would add some more fun.

Santa’s elves drop the sack off while we’re out looking at the lights. (Once we’re all in the van, Bill says that he forgot his wallet or something and goes back in to get the sack from it’s hiding place and leave it near the Christmas tree.)

Inside the sack is usually:

• new summer jammies for everyone
• a new Christmas DVD
• a new Christmas CD
• board game
• snacks
• and a letter from the elves reminding everyone to go to bed early because Santa is coming.

It’s a great way to make Christmas Eve go faster for the kids!
