Oh my! It’s getting away from me! I’m still planning for Christmas but I just don’t get the time to blog about it like I wanted to – hence the major catch up posts!

100countdown

So Day 74 of the 100 days till Christmas countdown suggested that we complete (or at least work on) a project. I have so many things going on that I didn’t know what to choose for this one. I’ll get back to you on it LOL

Day 73 was asking you to make an appointment for your Christmas family portrait so you get your photos back in time if you send them out with your cards or Christmas letters. I kinda did this today. I asked a friend of mine, who’s doing the photography course with me, if she wouldn’t mind taking a photo for me to use in our cards. We’ll be doing that in the next week or two.

Doing an inventory on our gift wrap and supplies was the challenge for Day 72. I stocked up after Christmas last year on gift wrap and gift bags. I just need to get tags, ribbon and I mustn’t forget the sticky tape!

Day 71 asked what is your child going to carry their loot in when they go trick or treating on Halloween. My kiddos aren’t going trick or treating because we’re having a Halloween party instead. I’m kinda glad because they won’t be bringing home loads of candy and I won’t be needing to get out the diet supplements for me to ward off the munchies! After chatting to the neighbours, it doesn’t look like many kids go trick or treating around here.

Day 70 was all about filling your advent calendar. Remember it needs to be ready for December 1! I used to use a mini Christmas tree with little drawers under it where we could place a treat or a coin but I want to do something different this year and hopefully let it become a traditional thing.

Day 69 was a catch up day.

Picking your pumpkin was the challenge for Day 68. We’re not doing this but I can’t wait to see photos of the carved pumpkins this year!

Day 67’s challenge was to make a delicious loaf of pumpkin bread or muffins. I have to tell you, the BEST pumpkin scones I have ever tasted were from Gloria Jean. They were pumpkin and pumpkin seed and were absolutely scrumptious!

OK, are we caught up? How are your holiday plans going?
