I thought it was pretty cool when Aldi brought out their trolley coin so you didn’t have to worry about not having a $2 coin.

But Trolley Coins takes the cake! I want one of THESE instead! They have a CUPCAKE one, people!!

So, I'm guessing the checkout process at Aldi is different in Australia than it is in the US. Here the cashier transfers your purchases into another cart, and then keeps your cart for the next customer. Since you're not returning the same cart you started with, you would not get your own personal "coin" back.
