Australian War Memorial
Bill was in his glory today! Being Father’s Day, I planned our trip so we could spend the entire day (if we liked) at the Australian War Memorial.
The Memorial commemorates the sacrifice of Australians who have dies in war and helps us remember and understand the enduring impact of war on all our lives.
No matter how many times I visit the War Memorial, I love looking at the dioramas depicting the past wars….I don’t know how much walking we did around the place but I can guarantee you I was counting those steps as fat burners!
The girls started to lose interest after an hour so I was glad to learn that there was a new discovery centre especially for kids, where they could climb into a helicopter, play in a submarine and walk through bunkers…
