It was so cold today, I was walking around this house with a beanie on and I was close to getting my scarf out as well.

Instead I had the crazy idea of giving the kitchen a good clean up. You wouldn’t think that it could get so unorganised in just a month or so!

I started with the glass/cup cupboard (which also housed some of our medications). The gaps are for the things that were in the dishwasher. The plastic tub on the top shelf is our “blackout emergency kit”. Next to that are some of my vases.

Second shelf is for glasses.

Bottom shelf is for cups/mugs. I also put the sugar, coffee and tea cannisters in there to clear some bench space.

Next was my baking cupboard. There’s nothing like going through your baking supplies and finding a box of cocoa powder that has an expiry date of 2006!

This cupboard doesn’t have a name but now it’s just for (top shelf) the baking trays, cake tins, cupcake stand, cookie cutters, chocolate moulds and (bottom shelf) the regularly used appliances with a space left for my slow cooker which was busy when I was taking the photos.

I figured I was warm enough after doing these cupboards so I’ll leave the rest to another day when I need some more warming up.
