If you did what Mr Rudd asked and spent your stimulus package payments, chances are that you just sent all of that money overseas. I had an interesting email sent to me last week that said in part:
“If you spend that money at Kmart, all the money will go to China .
If you spend it on petrol it will go to the Arabs.
If you buy a car it will go to Japan .
If you purchase a computer or a slurpy it will go to India .
If you purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan .
And none of it will help the Australian economy.”
Australians need to buy products that are Australian made and owned. We need to support Australian companies because Australian companies:
- Pay higher taxes in Australia than multinational companies.
- Keep profits in Australia .
- Are more likely to manufacture in Australia .
- Are more likely to use Australian produce from Australian farmers.
- Employ Australians.
What better way to start supporting Australian companies than buying from a site that ONLY sell Australian products. Do you know which brands are Australian? I thought I did until I did some further research, only to find that the brands I thought were Aussie brands aren’t anymore.
