What day is your “big cleaning day” each week? The day you do a good clean of the house, not just quick tidy ups. I’m thinking that Monday would be a good day to do it. Right after the weekend, when the kids have been home and trashed the house.
So I’ve created a weekly cleaning list for myself of things I need to get done…on Mondays:
Weekly Cleaning List
Kitchen:
- mop the floor
- wipe over the cupboards, tiles, stove and appliances.
- give the light switches and range hood a wipe over
- give the garbage bin a wash
Bathroom:
- scrub the bath/shower and tiles
- mop the floor
- wipe over light switch and door handle
- empty bin and wash it
Bedrooms:
- strip the beds
- get the kids to dust in their own rooms
- vacuum floors
- wipe over light switch and door handles
Living Room:
- dust
- vacuum floors
- vacuum the lounge (you know where the crumbs and stuff hide)
- wipe over light switches and door handles
