Don’t try to apply vinyl lettering to a wall!

I read the instructions and thought, “OK, easy! I can do this.”

Hmmm.

This is what I bought:

I sprayed the wall with a generic brand of window cleaner – and according to Tiesha, THIS was my problem because the instructions said to use Windex. I removed the backing paper and applied the lettering to the wall. Using a credit card, I squeegeed all the air bubbles out and left it while we went out for a while. I only needed to leave it for 10 – 20 minutes but we were gone for at least an hour so I figured it would be nicely adhered to the wall.

I was wrong.

To give you an idea where this is within our home, it is in the hallway:

It took patience (which I have limited supply of) and some colourful words to get it looking like this:

I have yet to buy some more frames and get some enlargements done of my favourite family photos to hang up.

If ANYONE (yes, you people who come to visit me IRL) say anything about the slight angle it seems to be on, you will suffer the consequences. Consider yourself warned! ;P

So, will I buy any more vinyl lettering to prettify our home?

Yeah, I think so….only because practise makes perfect, right!? And at least one of the decals will end up looking perfect LOL
