We, more or less, have everything packed up except the necessities so now it’s time to start washing down walls, cupboards, drawers and all the other stuff that needs scrubbing down before we leave here.
I tackled the microwave today. This is an ongoing chore and I don’t know why it gets so messy because I have those plastic covers to prevent spills and explosions. But it seems that either I’m the only one that knows how to use them or that family of mine are lazy!
To clean it, I place a bowl of water inside and run it on high for 1-2 minutes. That way, it will get nice and steamy in there and make it easier to wipe away the grotty bits. Then I just wash the plate and the plastic thingy in hot, soapy water.
Oops! Just realised that I didn’t put that plastic thingy and the plate back before I took the “after” photo…oh well.
Next on my list is the fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. I’d rather clean them now, before we move, so they are nice and clean.
