The right stuff

I’m such a sucker for new products!. Today while I was in the cleaning aisle looking for  something that was going to miraculously clean my kitchen without me lifting a finger, I saw a new product called “The Right Stuff” boasting to be a gutsier all purpose cleaner that can be used all over the house without leaving any nasty residues or airborne toxins.

I bought it because it had a cute little green frog on the bottle it is V.O.C fume free. V.O.Cs (volatile organic compounds) are harmful fumes released by most cleaning products and with two asthmatics in the mummified household, using products that are not going to affect them, or the rest of us, is important.

So, I tried it on the kitchen benches. It cleaned the red sticky stuff that was spilt in the corner behind the kettle that everyone doesn’t know how it got there with no dramas. I tried it on the dining room floor where I had left a dirty black mark from my boots when I was being silly and spilled water on Bill and had to run away from him because he was going to dunk me in the pool. I also tried it on the beautiful purple lipstick that Annabelle had smeared all over the bathroom basin because she didn’t think that the blue eye shadow was enough to make it pretty.

You know Pepe le Pew and how he has a visible pong around him? Well, I’m happy to say that I wasn’t Pepe. The rooms I cleaned were not left with an over-powering “clean smell”. The right stuff leaves a subtle citrus scent that Bill could even put up with. Usually when I’m cleaning, he has to leave the house because his sensitive nose can’t………hang on a minute! He’s been in his mate’s workshop when his mate has been using woodworking chemicals! That was just an excuse to get out of cleaning!! Wait till he comes home, that *incoherentmumblinginsertedherewithafewcolourfulwords*
