Now that we’re almost upon the terrible two’s I thought we’d better get some rules straight before we go any further….
1. You are no longer breast fed. That means my boobs are no longer your property, but mine. Please refrain from trying to expose them for all to see.
2. That cot in our bedroom is YOUR bed. Mine and your daddy’s bed only has two pillows – for me and your daddy.
3. The food on your plate is the same as the food on my plate. There is no need to push your plate away and eat from my plate.
4. Occasionally your daddy would like to be able to put his arm around your mama. It doesn’t mean that he’s trying to take your mama away. There is no need to push his arm away and tell him “MY MAMA!”
5. Poos belong in the potty and not to be given as gifts to your mama.
6. Just because someone goes in the bathroom does not mean they are going for a bath. There is no need to tear your clothes off while running to the bathroom door when you hear it close.
7. You are your mama’s 5th child. Your older siblings have tried all the temper tantrums, squealing, screaming and attitude. You are doing nothing new and if it didn’t work for them, it’s not going to work for you.
8. And the most important rule of all – remember, Mama loves you!
