Needle threats?!
Louisa from Life as we know it wanted to hear about times when kids have lost the plot in public due to being over tired. So I thought I’d share:
When William and Tiesha were babies (there’s a year between them), they used to keep each other awake. At that time, we lived in a small 2 bedroom flat so we had no choice but to have them share a room.
One particular day when they were about 3 and 2 years old, after them "playing" most of the night and being tired and grumpy and whinging, I had to take both of them to my doctor’s appt. I was pregnant with Madeline and had to get some blood tests done. Sitting in the doctor’s room with the 2 of them trying to scream the place down was loads of fun…NOT!
When the doctor walked back in with the syringes and equipment to get some blood, the kiddies took one look at the needles and froze! I don’t know if they thought they were getting the needles or something but it was enough to make the room quiet enough to hear a pin drop.
It was very tempting, after that, to threaten the kids with a needle from the doctor when they were throwing their tantrums…LOL
