New Year Resolutions
I don’t make them.
They never get carried through.
They’re a waste if time.
While catching up on twitter earlier today, someone (sorry, not sure who is it was) mentioned that instead of making new year resolutions, that you should create a life list instead – a list of all the things that you want to do before you die. Kind of like a bucket list, if you will.
I think that’s a much better idea that making new year resolutions that are usually broken by the end of the first day of the new year!
It would also be easy to incorporate my 100 things in 101 days with my life list too
Do you make new year resolutions? Do you keep to them?

Doing Nablopomo in January
Did you see the new badge on my side bar? The black and white Nablopomo one, over that way somewhere…..
<<<<<———-
It looks like this one:
I signed up to participate for the month of January. Basically, it’s all about posting every day of the month. This is the first time I’m doing it so I’m really looking forward to it. The theme for January is change. While all my posts won’t be about change, you may find a pattern occurring while I explore what this word means to me.

Menu Plan Monday Dec 29
How fast did December go?! How fast did the whole YEAR go??! I’ll be VERY glad to say good bye to 2008. It hasn’t been one of better years.
Our menu isn’t anything too exciting this week so I apologise if you came here thinking you were going to get some brilliant inspiration from my menu LOL

Monday – grilled lamb chops and onion gravy, mashed potatoes and vegies
Tuesday – oven fried crumbed drumsticks, flavoured rice and veg
Wednesday – probably take away
Thursday – spaghetti bolognaise, garlic bread
Friday – crumbed fish and salad
I’m going to try out Org Junkie’s Surprise Spread. It looks delicious!
What’s on your menu this week?

What to do with the Christmas cards
For the past few years now, instead of just tossing the Christmas cards in the recycle bin or garbage bin, I turn them into gift tags for the following Christmas.
I cut out matchbox size shapes or smaller, sometimes getting 2 or 3 out of each card. I punch a whole in the corner of the tag and TA- DA! They’re ready to use for next year’s gifts.
Just write on them, thread a ribbon through the whole and attach it to the gifts!

Why would ya?!
Common sense! That is what is lacking in this world, seriously.
“Why is Tina’s husband holding a box of chocolates above his head?” I hear you ask. “I know that Tina has said that he’s weird before but ………”
The box of chocolates that we received from one of Madeline’s best friends had the chocolate selection printed on the bottom of the box.
Do you think that the chocolate manufacturers do this on purpose because they want you to eat ALL the chocolates and not look at the selection chart so you just pick your favourite ones?

Not so anonymous
Seriously, do you REALLY think that if you post a confession on a public confession site, that you are not going to get found out?!
I read TMC daily and I have come across confessions that I know for a fact are written by my step mother (and have kept a copy of each and every one). There was one particular confession whereby she tried to back track by first saying that she didn’t have any grandchildren and that I must have the wrong person, and then said that it is about me if I blog on livejournal.com and if I was on my way to Japan.
Ummm, hello! I wrote that I had children so how does what you wrote make any sense, woman?!
I had my father come to my home and abuse me for writing something about my step mother on my blog and I was MADE to apologise to her because she was upset and yet, here she is doing the exact same thing about me.
And then they wonder why my husband and I want NOTHING to do with them. We DO NOT want a reconciliation, whether they think that I do or not) This is why I WILL NOT have my children anywhere near them. Do you think I want my children to be exposed to the poison that spits out of that woman’s mouth?!
You are playing with fire!
