Works For Me – Online banking

This is not a new brilliant idea but I am really loving the convenience of online banking. Each payday, I log on and pay the bills that need to be paid. If I have some extra cash (not that it happens often) I pay an extra $20 on the electricity, phone and internet bills so by the time the next bill is due, it will already have been paid off a bit.

I'm sitting here laughing because the other day I was paying the bills the old fashioned way, writing out checks and stuffing them in envelopes and then turning the kitchen drawers upside down trying to find stamps. My husband saw me and said "why don't you just pay the bills online?"....huh? You can do that?! So funny that you happened to post about it today!! I had no idea....and now I have to laugh at myself for making my life so much more difficult than it had to be!!

LOL I'm glad I dont have to turn my house upside down anymore to find a
stamp or a bill! It took me a while convince my DH that it was safe!

I love the convenience of paying all my bills online! There is only one bill I go pay in person and I only have to go 1 mile down the road! Hooray for online banking!

I don't think I could every go back to writing a check for every bill. Online banking saves so much time! I made a master sheet of all the transactions, due dates, budget amount for each item and the method of payment. I do the entire bill paying in my household and I want to make sure that if anything would happen to me, my husband knows how everything is set up.

When my husband first brought up the option of online banking years ago, I was so against it. I was totally paranoid about identity theft and having our information "out there."

Now we're been doing it for so many years, I can't imagine having to actually write out a check to pay a bill!
