TT – The Hall Cupboard (again!)

Is it just in my house?! Seriously, I don’t know how many times a year I have to do a big clean up of the hall cupboard. It’s not like it’s hard to put things back…I even went so far as to label the shelves so the husband and children would know where to put things!

It did look like this earlier today:

I even have some spare shelf space! Not that it will last long. You know, I think I might paint the doors of the hall cupboard. The brown wood makes the hallway look quite dark. Yep, when we paint the hallway, I’ll get Bill to paint the cupboard doors white or the same colour as the walls.

  • I think the only time it will end is when the kids all grow up and move into their own places. Then I'll go over to their place and mess their cupboards...LOL
  • Great tackle! My closet has to be redone, too. This last time I made the kids do it as they had messed it up. Ugh!

  • You know, it's very difficuilt and time consuming to read and put things where they belong. Besides, you always know where everything is so why should they bother? I think it's an epidemic of gigantic proportions called 'cantbebotheredcausemomlldoit-itis'.

  • Thank you! But I can assure you it only stayed like that for 10 minutes after the photo was taken!
  • It seems like I'm always straightening my hall cupboard as well. I think the solution is to put a padlock on it and not grant anyone but me access to it....

  • You did an excellent job. I know some of my areas that I declutter sometimes have to be gone through again too. The ones that dont are the ones I set up a system for so now I just have to do that with all of the areas.
