Promoting your blog offline

While I haven’t done much research on this topic, I figure that promoting your blog offline, in the real world, would be beneficial in bringing more traffic.

I was actually thinking of getting business cards printed, maybe even promotional pens and I could get all the kiddos a tshirt so when they are out and about, they can promote my blog too!

I’d be interested in reading your thoughts about promoting your blog in other ways. Have you tried it? Would you try it?

I actually have a t-shirt with my URL on it, but I haven't worn it yet. I already had business cards, but I had the reprinted with my blog information on it. I think it does help to a certain degree... almost like with any other marketing: you should get a 10 percent return on whatever you do. So, that means we better get to work, huh?! :D

I noticed somewhere that there is this thing called a "mommy card" (I spell it with the O cause it has to be an American idea.. heh) where it's like a business card for Mum's and contact card with all the kiddies details. Very handy for promoting blogs too I'd imagine!

Then again, I cant' see why us normal folk can't have a 'personal information card' just like a business card.... hmm.. there's an idea...

I have some business cards with my main blog URL on them. I keep a stack in my purse and leave them every where - change rooms, the doctors waiting room when I am there, at coffee shops, everywhere!

it's kind of fun!
