Why I password some posts

In recent times, you may have noticed that I have passworded some of my posts. No one gets to read these posts except my DH.

I used to write in journals but I unfortunately found out some years ago that someone had read my journals and took it upon themselves to tear out some pages.  I never found out for sure who it was, but I have a fair idea of who it could have been. Like I say to my kids, I may not find out right away but eventually I will find out.

By expressing my most personal, private thoughts on my blog and being able to password them means that I can still gets things off my chest without having to worry about people snooping.

I have not, and will not give the password out to anyone. Even those who try to get the password by pretending they are some random person having family problems themselves and hoping that my passworded posts might give them some advice.

I know that my regular readers and fellow bloggers can understand where I am coming from. It is the people with the guilty consciences that are annoyed because they can’t read what I have written.

So, that said…..we will return to normal Mummified Times Five posts shortly! :D

  • I used to keep a diary until my mother read it ... it wasn't terribly shocking stuff but she broke the trust and I never trusted her again.

    Happy blogoversary!
  • If you don't want anyone reading your post you have a right to do that. Everyone needs a way to relieve stress.
  • That seems really dangerous to me. Like Sarah Palin getting her yahoo email account hacked. I like the concept though.
  • I agree that everyone needs a way to relieve their stress. And they should be able to do it without being badgered!
  • it is your blog. I say use it the way you want to. I think password protected posts are just intriguing to people. They want to know what is so secret.
