It’s A Girl!
I’m an auntie!
Ella Jean was born at 7.31pm tonight. I’ve only just got home and I’m exhausted. Mama and baby are doing really well
I’ll be back tomorrow to share some photos.

Hello Baby?
If this is the post at the top of my blog, that means that I’m still in the hospital waiting for my niece or nephew to be born.
Update as soon as I can

Staying in the black
When DH and I first became a couple, we made the decision that I would stay home with our children and he would be the bread winner. This worked well for us when we had just 2 children until he was retrenched and found it difficult to find another job.
So, we had to reassess our situation and after doing some job searching myself, I worked for a few years as an assistant manager in a major home entertainment chain (which has since gone into liquidation). But after working for 3 or 4 years, I fell pregnant with our 3rd child and we swapped roles again.
I’ve been a stay home mum for 10 years now, with 2 more children and I would not change it again. I have vowed that I will be a full time mum until our youngest child starts primary school and after that I will work part time ensuring that I am home when they leave for school and home when they get back from school.
This is why I started doing freelance blogging. I can still be at home with/for the kiddos and still make some money to take some of the burden off DH.
I encourage mums to take a look at making your blog work for you. It’s well worth it

D day tomorrow!
Or should I say B’Day!!
Tomorrow, my sister will be induced so she can give birth to her baby. Nice and early, she and her DH will be stopping by to pick me up (because I live on the way to the hospital) and we’re going in to have a baby! Well, not me (this time! LOL).
I’m wondering how long her labour will be. My labours ranged between 7 hours and 16 hours. I’m wondering if I’m going to have time to read all about futures trading, jot down some ideas for blog posts, organise a menu plan for the week…………….:P
For Penny’s sake, I hope it’s a quick and pain free labour and birth! And if she doesn’t update her blog with photos, I’ll update with some!

Penny’s P Party
It was my sister’s 30th birthday yesterday and last night we all celebrated by having a P party. The birthday girl dressed up as a princess and her DH was a pilot…..
Our kiddos dressed up as a prisoner, Pocahontas, a pirate and a poodle……..
The baby was a little piggy………….
DH and I went as a priest and a possessed nun……..
There were punks, a photographer, pirates, a philosopher, police, physician, pool attendant, porter, painters. I guess we’re all lucky that there wasn’t a proctologist offering to do colon cleanses. Everyone had a great time!
