The baby has a scottish accent!

We were laughing today because whenever we asked the baby a question where the answer was yes, she’d nod her head and say “aye” just like DH does.

So DH took advantage of this and started talking to her with his Scottish accent (which really only comes out when he’s talking to his relatives, or when he’s drunk…lol)

The kids always have a great time imitating him, especially when he says words like “werrums” (worms…you just got to imagine the “rolling R’s”) and booook (book, for those playing at home). Again, imagine a Scottish person saying “book”.

But, I digress.

I think he’s hoping that at least one of his children sound more like him instead of sounding like “kangas” LOL

  • Aww that is too cute!
  • That is great, I love a Scottish accent, just think you can really confuse some people now.
  • My son totally did the same thing except with various accents. When he says "oopsy daisy" he sounds australian and things like dani (his aunt) he says with an indian accent. It is too funny!
  • That's hilarious. I'm picturing the baby talking like Shrek! (Forgive me, you've seen that one?)

I'm in the States, midwest. We're pretty basic here, but I still think it's so darn cute to see a toddler with an accent!

I've enjoyed your blog. I think I first found it through Rocks In My Dryer? That's just a guess, mind you.
