It was Book Week this week and DD8’s school held their annual book parade.
DD8 usually chooses to dress as a princess or something similar. This year was no different – she was a fiary princess and even the baby joined in and dressed up as a princess as well!
Gee, some mums are getting quite creative in the costume making…LOL…There were the usual Batmans, pirates, and princesses but there were a few that stood out.
One kids was dressed as Mr Strong. His costume was a huge cardboard box covered in red paper and a green hat. It looked great! Another family of 3 siblings dressed up as Red Riding Hood, the wolf disguised as grandma and the wood chopper! I think I also saw a police man and a couple of “nerds” lol Not sure which book they were from.
There was one kid who dressed up as a truck, again in a huge cardboard box and we all tried not to chuckle when he started crashing into everyone while he was meant to be parading. I thought at one stage someone was going to have to call a truck accident lawyer until one of the teachers took his hand and paraded with him…lol
The book parade is always a good time!
