I’m always telling the kids not to fill out the entry coupons that are displayed at our local takeaway shop. The prizes are usually computers, or home appliances or holidays but I think it’s just a way to add more names to mailing lists and telemarketer’s lists so then you can be interrupted right in the middle of dinner or when you’re trying to put the baby to sleep just for a telemarketer to ask you if you want to buy screen doors!

So I was a LITTLE annoyed when a telemarketer called early yesterday morning (a SUNDAY, mind you) to tell me that I have a chance to win an iPod.

Now, first of all, this was the first time in a LONG TIME that I had a chance to sleep in because the baby didn’t wake up at the crack of dawn and as soon as I got up out of bed, she woke up!

Second of all, you’re telling me that I have a CHANCE to win an iPod. Darling, unless you’re ringing to tell me that I HAVE WON Vegas vacations or something similar, DON’T be ringing me!

Now, get your butt over here and make me breakfast in bed!
