Most school holidays consist of the older babes amusing themselves, play dates for the younger babes and occasional days out like to the movies or a picnic. But these holidays, we haven’t really done much because DH has been working odd hours and the weather hasn’t been too co-operative.
So, I’m making a promise to myself (but not telling the kids yet) that we will TRY to go away, even if it’s just for a weekend, once every school holidays as well as other activities.
Because the older babes enjoy just hanging out with their friends and making their own fun, they aren’t always around for us to do a “family thing” so I think it’s going to have to be agreed upon by all of us.
I’ll have to convince the teenagers that they will survive a “family thing” and that their friends won’t forget them because it will only be a couple of days…lol….it’s not like I’m going to plan a trip to the other side of the planet and we need to organise travel health insurance or passports.
