Mum, I Need……

You want to know what really irks me (today)?

It’s when the darling children tell me that they need money or a school excursion, material for a textiles project, scrapbook or notebook for some assignment or project THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY NEED IT!!!

And then they’re all like “But mum, I told you last week when you were cooking dinner/tending to the baby/on the phone”. And then because they told me and they think I was listening, THEY think they don’t have to mention it again until the day (or day before) they need it!

That’s why I’m thinking of setting up family letter boxes similar to this idea and if I don’t get the notes from school in my mailbox, then tough luck babes!

My memory isn’t like computer memory where I can just keep installing more memory. I do sometimes have to cull some stuff to fit more in and if it happens to be the fact that you need $20 to go the movies because the teacher thinks it’s part of the “English curriculum”, then you’d better give me the note WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT! Oh and maybe even remind me each day like my little reminder thing on my laptop………
