Tackle it Tuesday - “office corner?”

Have you heard about Tackle It Tuesday, hosted by 5minutesformom.com? Their catch phrase is “making housework blog-able!” I participated in a few tackles a while ago but I thought I’d have a go again because it always helps to have a little encouragement :)

This week, I REALLY need to do something with my “office corner”. It’s not so much an office corner as a dumping ground for the nappy basket, the baby’s toy basket, our paperwork and other paper items, and stationery.

I have no idea how I’m going to organise it, but something needs to be done with it!

Before:

It’s all tidied up now. I culled heaps of paper, tidied up my stationery basket, and dusted. I still need to find a new home for the baby’s toy basket so it’s still easy for her to play with her toys but so it doesn’t stick out in the middle of the floor!

  1. Doesn’t it feel good to be organized. If only it would stay that way. LOL

  2. I’m betting it will stay like this until 3pm (when the brood get home from school…lol)

  3. Awesome tackle. I’ve been working in the sunflower garden myself. Come see! :D

  4. Looks fantastic! Toy basket suggestion: take about 2/3 of that stuff, bag it up and put it in the attic (closet, garage, whatever). Then the toys will fit nicely in the basket and your little one will be able to see what she has to play with (and when the basket gets dumped out it won’t cover the floor of the entire house). Another idea is to divide the basket of toys into three bags and then change the bags every 2 or 3 weeks — that will keep the toys “new” and the basket clean.

    Again, good job!

PS Does that bead ball jump out and grab your foot as you walk past it? We had one of those and I was forever tripping on it!!! ;^)

  5. @Rebecca C, good suggestions about the toy basket. There is so much stuff in there that the baby pulls everything out just to play with her favourite things. I think putting them into 3 bags and alternating them may be the way to go :)
