2 hour car trip with 5 kids

Yep! That’s what we’re going to have to endure tomorrow morning when we leave for our mini vacation. We’ve decided to leave early so we can be in time for the Anzac parade down the coast (we never miss the parade). I have snacks packed (even though we’ll have just had breakfast) and water, find-a-word books and pens, and toys for the baby. Hopefully the baby will sleep some of the way because she usually goes back down for a nap soon after having breakfast.

I’m not sure if there is free wifi where we are staying so that will depend on whether I update over the weekend or I update on Sunday when we get back.

We have friends staying at our place to house-sit and to look after our fur-babies so we don’t have to worry about that.

We’re all packed and ready to go. My dad and stepmum came this morning to pick up some of our stuff to take down there because it all wouldn’t fit in our van. I have the van packed up. I just need to pack up the food tomorrow morning, load the car up with the food and the kids and off we go!

My Aussie pals, enjoy your LONG weekend!!

My non-Aussies pals, enjoy your normal length weekend…lol!!

  2. Have a fun and safe trip! I hope you have a DVD in the van. That and earphones (for the kids) sure help.
