Mouldy Issues

We live in an old house, built in the 1950’s. It has been renovated to make it more modern but unfortunately, as is the case with a lot of old problems, we have an on-going problem with mould on the walls. We used every product available to keep the mould at bay but it always comes back, especially after wet weather.

We complained to the landlord numerous times to no avail. DH says that all that needs to be done is for them to lay drainage along the front of the house to allow the rainfall to run away from the building instead of just pooling at the foundation but OF COURSE the landlord knows better. The landlord’s solution was to cut away two trees at the side of the house to allow more sunshine, but that still didn’t do anything about the pooling rain water!

I’m thought I might have a look at air cleaners so at least the air inside is clean for the babes to breathe. I’m worried that we will all end up with breathing problems.

Do you know of any sure-fire methods to get rid of mould?
