More memory to scrap?
I have been trying to organise all the photos I have saved on my laptop so I can start digital scrapbooking again. At the moment, my ‘pictures’ file is a mess and the OCD is kicking in so I need to organise it so it’s easy to find the photo that I want to scrap.
I was talking to a friend about scrapping and she mentioned that she needed to increase her computer memory because she found that her computer ran a little slow while she was using her photo editing program. I’m not sure how this laptop will go. I’m not even sure of the specs of this thing - yeah, I’m very tech-knowledgeable…lol

Can I suggest you find an organisation program for your photos on your hard-drive. I did a comparison article and the one I recomend in Creative memories Memory Manager. Find your self a local consultant and grab one they aren’t expensive. And Cm has now also branched into really cool digital scrapping products, Your local consultant can help you there too.
The greatest thing about MM is you can instantly find by date of picture and/or date of import with no presorting by you. How cool, Huh??

I put each day’s photos into a folder named for the date and a brief description, like “2008.03.16 - beach photos.” If you don’t take a lot of photos, you can simply make a new folder for each month.
Even with increasing pixel counts, you can store hundreds of photos on a single 2GB card. It’s tempting to put of the task of downloading them to your computer.
I’m not familiar with Memory Manager suggested by Amy, but I do know about iPhoto for the Mac (included) and Picassa (free download by Google).
The other most important thing to remember is to back up your photos. I shoot a lot, so I burn a DVD once a month. For special occasions, I burn a CD or DVD ASAP after downloading the photos.
