Now, if it was up to me I would just take a photo of each of my children, and one with all of them together, in their school uniforms instead of spending a fortune on school photo packages that end up with most of them put in a drawer only to not see the light of day again.
We have a collage frame with four spaces that we use for the individual school portraits which gets updated each year but the class photos and heap of copies just gets put away.
The kids have already brought home the envelopes for the photo money so now I need to decide which packages to buy.
DS15 is in Year 11 this year. We got his class photos last year because some of his classmates were leaving, so this year I think we’ll just get his portrait pack.
DD14 plans to finish school at the end of the year so I’ll have to get her portrait pack as well as the class photos.
DD12 has just started high school so I’ll need to get her portraits as well as the class photos.
DD7 is in Year 2. The primary school isn’t offering just a portrait pack so I’ll be getting the package with her portraits and class photos.
So, school photos this year are going to cost me around $120!
