When I was working in retail, the company I worked for provided training for staff monthly in regards to customer service and professionalism. It seems that these days, good customer service isn’t that important anymore – well, it seems that way to a certain chain store that we went to today. The checkout operators seem to be getting younger and some of them have major attitude problems. I seriously think that this chain store should spend some money on staff training and talent management and remind their staff that it is the customers that keep their business afloat.
