Book Meme

I was tagged for the book meme by Connie from Brain Foggles.

The Rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.

I’ve just started reading “The Bad Mother’s Handbook” by Kate Long.

Pg 123, from line 5:

“That’s rude,’ said Lisa promptly.  “You shouldn’t ask a lady that”. “I think she’s about twenty-five,” persisted Dale. He had a long face with a large jaw, and chewed his pencils compulsively.

I’m going to be lazy! Consider yourself tagged if you haven’t done this meme.

Thinking ahead

I usually give my grandparents a framed portrait of DH, myself and the babes as their Christmas gift. They don’t want anything else and as a request from my grandmother, I have done this for a couple years now.

However, this year I think I might get custom printed calendars made for them and for my parents as well.

It will be fun getting the kids to pose for each month!

Storm passing through

Wow! You should have seen the storm that just passed through here!

It started getting really dark and cloudy at around 4.30pm and then the thunder and lightening started.

Ha! It almost looks as though it’s snowing in the picture…ok, maybe that’s wishful thinking….LOL

DH got home from the grocery store just when the hail started to fall. Unfortunately for him, the grocery bag fell and I heard him yell that the hail stones were hitting his butt…LOL

The hail stones were a decent size too…..hope they didn’t cause too much damage to my van!

My choice in baby feeding bottles

Here I go being a brand name snob again!

When our first child was weaned off the breast, I tried to make it as painless as possible for me and the baby by purchasing teats that would imitate breastfeeding. I tried a few different brands but we had the most success with the Tommee Tippee baby feeding bottles. The teats are specially shaped to appear more ‘breast-like’ so it makes it easy to adjust from breastfeeding to bottle feeding.

It was a relief to have bottle feeding products available that were of great quality and reasonably priced. So, because I was satisfied with the Tommee Tippee range, I continued to use Tommee Tippee products for each of my children. While some of the range has changed over the years, the excellent quality has not changed and it’s great to be able to find all the information you need on the Tommee Tippee website to help answer any questions you might have when purchasing baby feeding equipment.

Now that our youngest baby is almost one, we’re moving from the Tommee Tippee baby bottles to the spoons, snack cups and suction plates. I love the range of colours available and the designs of the bottles. Our baby tries to be very independent so the nipper gripper bottles were terrific because she could hold them herself.

I wish someone had recommended Tommee Tippee to me when our first child was born because I could have bought the best right away instead of wasting money on trying different brands!
