Do you want to know…….
………why I’m a LITTLE stressed this time of year?
It has a little to do with:
* The four older babes going back to school for the new year on Jan 29 and needing new uniforms, and supplies.
* DD12 starting high school *trying not to be a sooky mum*
*Our wedding anniversary is on Feb 12
* Valentine’s Day is Feb 14
* Baby A’s first birthday party is on March 2 and her actual birthday is March 6.
* DD14 is turning 15 on March 7.
* DS15 is turning 16 on March 9.
YEP, 3 birthdays in one week…no typo there, people!
* Easter is here somewhere, too!
* DH’s birthday is in April
* DD7 will be turning 8 on May 9
* Mothers Day in between here somewhere
* My birthday is May 21
This does not include my stepmum’s birthday, my step brother’s birthday, my 2 brother in laws’ birthdays, my niece’s birthday, my grandparent’s 60th anniversary party………….
I think that’s all!
Phew! After all this, bring on July so I can just start stressing about Christmas again! LOL

One less thing to worry about
I received a nice surprise today!
I rung the finance company to see if we could defer our payment next week because we’re going to be short in cash. I was going to tell the lovely lady who answered my call that I would make a double payment the following week but she told me that I have been a week ahead since we started repayments and that I didn’t have to make a double payment – one payment would be fine.
How nice!
I thought we would just have to be a little tighter with our money the week I make the double payment but now I don’t have to worry

Another graduation today!
I can’t believe how fast time flies!
It seems like just yesterday that DD11 started Kindergarten! This year she was nominated by her peers to be one of the school presidents and each time I go to the school, I hear nothing but praise about her and the job she does!
She’s off to high school next year, where her older brother and sister are. She’s so excited about starting Year 7. She met some new friends at the Year 6 camp she went to last week that are also starting at the same school.
So this morning is the graduation with a morning tea planned afterwards and tonight is the graduation party. They are going out for dinner and bowling.
M, We are so proud of you! You did an excellent job as school president! We love you!

Graduating today!
Our DS15 graduates from Year 10 today! I am SO PROUD of him! He has decided that he is going to return to school in the new year to complete Years 11 and 12, with plans to join the army after he completes Year 12.
I can still remember his first day of primary school! DH and I both went with him to his new class room. He found the hook with his name on it all by himself to hang up his school bag. He went into the classroom and sat down with a little boy, like it wasn’t hit first day at all!
I was so determined not to let him see me crying, that I quickly had to give him a kiss and tell him that I would see him later in the day, walked out of the school grounds and bawled my eyes out!
(My DH, reading as I’m typing this, kindly just pointed out that I’ve done this with all our babes!) Yeah, thanks DH…lol
I had to go to work after dropping DS off for his first day of BIG SCHOOL and each time one of my workmates asked me how he went, I became a blubbering mess again! When DH and I picked DS up after his first day, I asked him how his day went and he said “It was good! I think I’ll go back tomorrow”
While he’s not THAT excited about school any more, he still has done extremely well and has a good head on his shoulders.
W, Your dad and I are so proud of you, Son! Congratulations on graduating Year 10! We love you!!

Sneaking out
I am so disappointed. My DD14 stayed at her friend’s house last night. When she stays overnight anywhere, she knows that she’s not to go out at night unless it was been put by me and DH first and she has permission.
Well she and her friend took it upon themselves to sneak out her friend’s bedroom window some time last night to attend an after party (one of the local schools had their Year 10 formal last night), only to return sometime around 3.30am! This morning DD14 rung me to come and pick her up. She told me that her friend’s mum wanted to talk to me and I was told of what the girls got up to.
I don’t know what to do with her! She has never snuck out before so this is probably the worst thing she has done but she just doesn’t get it that if something happened last night, how would we have known where she was!!?!
She has been told by DH that she is not allowed to stay overnight at any friends’ houses because as far as we’re concerned she has lost our trust
Does ANYONE have ANY advice on how to deal with a teenage girl who thinks she knows better than everyone?
