Baby Talk
The baby has decided that as soon as it starts getting light, that is her cue to let me know she’s awake.
If she could talk, her babbling and cries would probably translate into -
(quietly babbling to herself) “OK, it’s light. I’m awake but I’m happy lying here looking at my butterfly mobile - for now”
(babbling to herself with a few happy squeals, pulling off her baby booties) “Mum, just letting you know that I’m awake. I can see you but you’re still sleeping. OK, I’ll be nice and let you sleep for a LITTLE while longer”
(starts to add a little whine) “OK, babies have a short attention span and I’m bored now and I want a nappy change and my bottle. Mum, it’s time to wake up!”
(loudly squeals so she can wake up the whole neighbourhood!) “MUM, GET YOUR BUTT OUT OF BED,GET ME OUT OF HERE! PUT ME IN MY BABY CAR SEAT AND LET’S GO SHOPPING!”
