G’s pirate party!
*big sigh* The pirates have all gone home now!
Today was G’s pirate birthday party. She and her seven guests ate party food on the pirate ship that DH created! They played cannonball blast, stick the pirate on the island and musical islands. They decorated their own pirate ships. They grabbed the loot from the pinata, they went on a treasure hunt, they ate cake and they run amok!
G is really happy with how her pirate party turned out. She loves all her gifts and she still hasn’t gotten changed out of her pirate costume (4 hours after the party)!

Our birthday traditions
We seem to have a birthday tradition that sorta came about by itself!
Each time it’s someone’s birthday, we all gather on DH and my bed to open gifts. It’s probably because the kids get up at the crack of dawn on their birthdays and are so excited, they’re up before us!
So this morning was no different. DD8 sat on our bed with her gifts piled up in front of her. Poor DH got woken up with her excited chatter. I’m sitting there trying to keep my eyes open!
She got an electric toothbrush, clothes, craft sets, this bubble thing that she wanted and…

…Beados! I think, by the look on her face, that the Beados was her most favourite gifts…LOL
Happy 8th birthday, G!!
Happy 8th Birthday, G!! Hope you enjoy your pirate party tomorrow!!!

Please excuse me
I haven’t prepared any posts for today. I have a really bad migraine and I need to lie down. If I feel better later tonight, I’ll update my blogs.
My sugar and cinnamon pita chips
I promised to share the “recipe” for my sugar and cinnamon pita chips, so here you go:
You need lebanese bread, canola spray, sugar, cinnamon and baking trays (I use a pizza tray)

Break up the lebanese bread into small pieces:

Lay the pieces onto your baking tray and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon:

Place the tray in the oven on a medium heat. It only takes a few minutes for the pieces to become crispy so keep an eye on them otherwise this may happen:

(I got carried away with the Pogo game I was playing and forgot about my pita chips!)
After they are crispy enough for you, let them cool and place them in a air tight container so they stay nice and crispy:

Easy!!
It’s a Mommy Fest!
It’s the 5th annual Mommy Fest and what better way to celebrate than by having a blog party! Between May 12 - 16, mommy bloggers around the blogosphere will be blog hopping, meeting new friends, and having fun!

There are some great prizes to be won and an awesome list of guest speakers, with topics such as “How Moms Can Use the Internet to Break Out of The “Mommy Box”” and “How to Prevent Still Birth“.
So, you coming? I hope so!!
